Gutturnio Riserva

The Gotturnio Riserva wine is made out of Barbera and Bonarda vine varieties, that grow on the lowest hills in Castell’Arquato.

Manual harvest occurs in early September and grapes are crushed and macerated for 12 days. After decanting, wine ages in concrete tanks for 6 months, and later on is moved into Slavonian oak barrels for 1 year.

Its aging is further refined in bottles for 6 months.

Pairings with Gutturnio Riserva

The Gutturnio Riserva boasts a strong red-ruby colour, along with a complex perfume that reminds of in-alcohol plums, liquorice and cloves.

It also leaves a slightly bitter after taste.

Because of this, it matches roasted red and game meats perfectly.
