Description
Bonarda Frizzante is rooted in the Emilian sparkling red wine tradition.
Its strength lies in its sharp, pulpy fruitiness, combined with a good overall balance.
Vinification method
Perfectly mature grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected, then placed in small crates and taken into the wine cellar, where they are destemmed and pressed.
Maceration usually lasts 8 days, during which light pumping over is carried out and particular care is taken with the temperature, to preserve a fresher, younger aroma.
Soil and Vineyard Traits
The Bonarda vineyards that give rise to this wine are located in the Casa Benna estate, on the first hill of Castell’Arquato, in the province of Piacenza deep within the heart of Emilia, the undisputed home of sparkling red wines.
The vineyards are on average 13 years old and are grown according to the Guyot method, selecting only the freshest, most ideal soils for young, fruity wines.
Food Pairing
Bonarda Frizzante is a typical Piacenza wine, with a pleasant, intense, fruity taste.
It is perfect for tasting alongside cold cuts, medium-aged cheeses, and focaccia. Also a great match for traditional snacks or modern finger food.
